Christopher Lee, Where Are You?
Daniel Jones writes at the Batavian that he attended a candidates’ forum in Amherst last night, and Kryzan, Mesi, and Ranzenhofer attended to discuss their varied plans should they be elected, and to take audience questions.
Christopher Lee, the unemployed heir, did not attend. Writes Jones:
I can say that Chris Lee’s absence did not play well among the crowd tonight. I overheard one woman, who said that she’s a life-long Republican, say that she’s voting for Kryzan because she felt that Lee didn’t care about her vote enough to show up….ouch…..
I give full credit to the rest of the candidates, even Mike Ranzenhofer (whom I’ve been very critical of) for at least showing up, without getting into the merits of their issues, they at least came to present themselves. Where in the world is Christopher Lee? *Crickets Chirp*
Christopher Lee has had everything in life handed to him on a titanium platter. Old habits die hard, and he’s got hundreds of millions in the bank and an (R) after his name. He doesn’t have to slum it with the proles.

Physics dictates that you cannot be in two places at once. Lee was previously invited and spoke at the WNY Women’s Fund event. WNYWF is an organization dedicated to lifting women and girls from circumstances involving drug abuse, poverty, poor health care, domestic violence, etc.

Alice attended the WNY Women’s Fund event as well because she has been a member of the Board for 5 years, although she is currently on leave because of her Congressional race. After the speaker was finished, who was not Chris Lee (or Alice), Alice thanked her hosts and left at the same time as many of the other guests and Board Members. She was able to get to the Amherst forum in time to speak and answer questions. Her scheduled time was 8:30, Chris Lee’s was 8:45. It is not a matter of physics, but one of dedication and responsibility to voters.

Anyone remember Jack Davis and how he offended people by not bothering to actually WORK to win an election. The “I can just buy it like I can everything else” approach.
I dunno but that has got to PISS people off more now than ever. Where’s that campaign literature, I mean my most recent 401(k)/IRAa statement?
Screw you Chris Lee. Rich assholes should at least try to pretend they aren’t when times are tough. Talk about an insulated asshole.

Hi Anne - When is Alice going to release another ad lying about her opponents? She did it well in the Primary and seeing that she’s 11 points down maybe now is a good time to try it again. Maybe this time she could say Chris Lee steals his employees’ lunch money and lines his own pockets with it.

Big F’n deal, he didn’t go to one forum. There are seven counties in the district. How does anyone know where else he was and what was on his schedule that day? He clearly isn’t ducking anything, he stood toe to toe with her last week at the debate didn’t he? Go on the websites, Lee has pictures of himself in all sorts of places.
Remember, she didn’t win the primary, the two real candidates found a way to lose it. She has zero appeal to old school conservative Dems like myself. Lee will win this going away against this 70’s Throwback Liberal.

Hi Pundit, thanks for linking this! I pointed it out because of the grumblings I heard due to his absence. It’s not as if this forum was a fringe forum and wasn’t well attended, Mike Ranzenhofer, Joe Mesi and Alice Kryzan (3 out of the 4 candidates in the most closely watched races in WNY) all figured that this was important enough to attend.
The timing for Lee seems suspicious, it’s on the heels of his disastrous debate performance.

Alice should forget about talking to voters for a while. She should be tracking down every victim of the Love Canal tragedy and apologizing to them for defending their assailants.
Afterwards, she can head to the Falls and meet up with Hudson for a cocktail or 10. She just needs to be sure to keep him away from the Gazette newsroom when he’s drinking.

Alice Kryzan sold out faster than any candidate in the history of candidates. Ohhhhhh Annnnnnnnnneeeee, where arrrrrrreeeeeee you? I’m dying to hear your explanation. You come on and preach when things are good, you should come face the fire when your candidate sells her soul.
She attacked Lee for taking PAC money and even pledged to not do so, I guess integrity goes out the window when you actually win something. The only question that remains: How fast will she sell us out when Nancy Pelosi tells her to vote against her district’s interest.
