Chris Lee Looks At March. We Look at January.

Chris Lee released this ad today:

The numbers cite the Heritage Foundation Webmemo #1844, which I have handily linked to here.

The ultra-right-wing Heritage Foundation is the source used for this lame ad. The Webmemo used against Democratic candidate Alice Kryzan is interesting in that it is discussing congressional action taken on March 5, 2008.

Last I checked, Alice Kryzan wasn’t in congress on March 5, 2008.

The resolution would have cancelled the Bush tax cuts, which went disproportionately to the wealthiest Americans under the faulty guise of “job creation” through trickle-down economics. Furthermore, the data presented is based on a projected estimate out to 2012.

What Lee’s ad omits is the fact that there will be a new Democratic administration in the White House come 2009, and its tax policy is going to be radically different from what the 110th Congress proposed a full eight months before Alice Kryzan is ostensibly elected to the 111th Congress.

The 26th District has a median income of $46,653. Under the Obama plan, that taxpayer’s burden would decrease by 2.3%, resulting in a savings of over $1,000 per year. Under the McCain plan, that burden would only decrease by 0.7%, representing about $315.

Chris Lee. Republican. Lower taxes for multimillionaires, $300 for you.

Alice is done. With Chris Lee’s 3 lines and Powers on the WFP, Alice is fucked. Maybe Powers will get more votes than Kryzan.

Pundit, Alice Kryzan has campaigned extensively on rolling back the Bush Tax Cuts, so it doesn’t matter if she was in Congress in March, she supports the proposal that would have the same effect as the March legislation. This is hardly a stretch. Bottom line, Kryzan is a tax and spend liberal who wants to socialize health care and increase taxes.

Maybe Alice can get the Save Jobs and Farms Party line.

I think she has already reaped enough benefit from Jack Davis. It is just like the Democrats to nominate the least electable person for the position - 2004 Presidential redux.

[…] Chris Lee took the first swipe at Alice Kryzan by accusing her of having caused (past tense) the loss of jobs and the raising of taxes in the district. Both charges are patently false, simplistic distortions of the conclusions of some right-wing think tank and ignore the tax plans of either presidential candidate. […]
