and what exactly does this have to do with fail? a family funeral home, in business here for 70 years, that some recent boston/fail finds funny? you really do seem to have a problem with italians, alan.

Learn how to use the internet, Hudson. I didn’t make that image. I just thought it was funny that someone posted it to Failblog.

Someone on the Interwebs thought that it was funny that a funeral parlor would have the slightly ironic name of Am I Gone? Hudson confused! Hudson Angry! Hudson SMASH!!@#!@!

Hardly original, Amigone was featured in the funny photos in the back of a comedy magazine about 30 years ago, might have been under “What’s Your Sign” in National Lampoon. You know, like “Planned Parenthood (Use Rear Entrance)”

Yes, and 30 years ago the majority of people who find such humor funny weren’t alive so those of us under retirement age are experiencing the joke for the first time.
Jebus.
Old people just don’t understand the interwebz

speaking of 30 years ago, why are the hippies protesting the democratic convention in denver? do they think LBJ is still the president?
Jon Splett Says:August 27th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
Yea screw those lousy hippies.
Who do they think they are exercising their right to political speech at a Democratic convention of all places!? Why can’t they just put on a god damn suit and get a job already!?

You’re right, Hudson. There’s nothing funny about a funeral home called “Amigone”. None whatsoever.
Pauldub Says:August 27th, 2008 at 9:41 pm
Hudson, you have the sense of humor of a brick.
Jaquandor Says:August 27th, 2008 at 10:25 pm
A photo of an Amigone sign was also used for the exact same joke some years back on the Tonight Show, during Leno’s “Headlines” bit. This isn’t a new joke.

The funny about Amigone’s name goes back long before the internet. Long before most of the posters here were born. I was raised in Holley New york and we had great fun with the name as kids. The Amigone family are good people and have no problem at all with the play on their names and people getting some enjoyment from it. Don’t you think they realized it long before it made it as the butt of a joke on the web or on Jay Leno?
The Amigone’s are happy to have their name be bandied about. They have quality service in a time of need and people who use their service know that.
google
funeral homes western new york and you will see how popular they are.
