Marshawn Lynch Hit & Run

Someone driving Marshawn Lynch’s 2008 Porsche Cayenne struck a 27-year old Ontario woman early Saturday morning, and didn’t stop. The only question now is - who was behind the wheel? Presumably, unless there’s a police report of that vehicle being stolen, its owner knows who was driving. In order to get Mr. Lynch to give up that info, the police are holding the Cayenne hostage.

Either way, Lynch is lucky that woman only has some bruises and minor injuries.

let’s make heroes out of these guys and then beat the shit out of them when they make a mistake….

Since all of WNY is in the business of making assumptions about this incident, let’s also assume:

    1. The reason the woman was not seriously injured is because the car was being operated in a responsible manner and driving at an appropriate speed. There’s nothing “lucky” about it.

    2. The reason the woman was hit in the first place is because she was drunk (not uncommon for pedestrians on Chippewa at 3am) and walked (or fell) into the path of moving vehicle against a light or while not in a crosswalk.

That’s not an excuse for leaving the scene of an accident, but let’s not get confused here. People die in hit-and-run accidents caused entirely by reckless, dangerous and criminal driving (not so much in Buffalo, but in NYC/LI it happens all too frequently) and the police basically say there’s nothing they can do about it. In Buffalo the police are making a spectacle over an incident where no one was hurt and pedestrian was probably the one who caused the accident. It’s embarrassing, really.

But then again this post, like everything else about this case, is pure speculation.

He drove off because he was choking on his gold teeth.

reflip, The police report based on witness accounts indicate she was crossing Delaware when the SUV turned left from Chippewa and struck her. If the light wasn’t green for her, then that would mean the SUV went through it too. The report’s diagram shows her in the crosswalk.

If the video camera evidence is inconsistent with any of that, then the police should have updated the accident report before releasing it.

The appropriate speed is 0 m.p.h. when turning left while a pedestrian is crossing with the green light. A responsible manner would be to wait until the pedestrian crossed. Pedestrians have the right of way in crosswalks, not turning vehicles.

    Starbuck,

I stand corrected. As usual, baseless speculations prove to be false.

Who know that Porsche made an SUV?

    Mistake?
sure the hit part might have been a mistake/accident
but the run part is unforgivable

Has anyone noticed the deer in the headlights look by Mike DeGeorge during these Police press conferences.

I know he didn’t have any law enforcement experience coming into this job and have cut him some slack because of that but wow!!!

Is this guy Dick Cheney or something ? If I hit someone or someone driving my mufflerless ‘94 Suburban with no radio or a/c we can be pretty sure I’d have spent the weekend giving all my smokes to Big Steve and Bubba. But somehow this guy’s rig was impounded — was it abandoned ? Was it in “Beast Mode” and unable to stop ? Was another dude at the wheel when it was impounded ? Is B-lo so pathetically worshipful of our millionaire 20 something jockstraps that we won’t even have the cops bring him in for questioning ? And are any of those assholes at The Ralph going to use the C word on us again this year ? Character that is. What smacks of strong character like hiding from cops behind your lawyer and saying keep the damned SUV you think I can’t go pay cash for another one at halftime ? It’s stuff like this that reminds me why I have given Sundays back to myself and my family from September till February. These guys are just not worth my interest or my cash. And when they do move to Toronto I am going to horselaugh in the red and blue painted face of the first beered up moron who dares to act shocked. AMF Ralph.

Well let’s just hope this one (Marshawn) doesn’t come to the T.dot, we won’t want him here IF he is the one that was driving the vehicle that hit the victim, especially those of us who are acquainted with the victim.

The poor sole, it has been an absolute nightmare for this individual especially with the media at their heels.

I am not sure what kind of wit would even think to type that this was a mistake. Who would do that? If you hit a squirrel you feel it, tell me that you can’t feel something when you hit a person? Better treatments are given when a dog is hit.

If Marshawn or whomever else was driving was an honourable individual, they would have stopped PERIOD. Absolutely disgusting!!!
