So is BuffaloGeek John Martin? They sound so similar. Just askin.

Just stopped over so I could say fuck! Cheers!

    starbuck Says:

Is Steel really Rambo Jim? I’m just askin. Fuck.

    Andrew Kulyk Says:

Munch on popcorn? Like most BRO threads, I would rather suggest a fifth of Jack Daniels.

I almost considered making an account just to bring the trolling to a whole new level but I decided it wasn’t even worth it because it would mean I’d have to actually read that joke of an outlet.

    I think that means I’m getting old…

    STEEL Says:

    Jon Splett

If you don’t read it how do you know it is a joke?

    Buffalo Blood Donor Says:

    You guys are too much.

Elena and various commenters at BRO did have a point. Too much anarchy is about as insightful as too much civility. Somewhere, there’s that less extreme spectrum of commentary that tends to successfully invoke strong debate/dissent without forcing everyone down into the gutter or restricting us only to kind, gentle and boring phrasing.

Peppering comments with foul language, racist remarks and/or general malice is easy and oh so uncreative. Maybe Elena should block content based solely on its lack of creativity.

    Maybe you should, too.

Keep the creative (and funny!) comments coming.

Steel, in between taking care of my son this morning and working all day on a massive technical installation at UB, I barely had enough time to pump out the first post on my own blog in nearly a week. So, no, I am not JohnMartin. Nor do I much care about the issue of BRO and comments or whatever. This whole internet thing is one big circle jerk at times.

    Jon Splett Says:

The same way I don’t need to watch FOX News to know it’s crap, I don’t need to read Buffalo Rising to know its nauseating.

    STEEL Says:

Glad to hear it Geek. Perhaps you guys should offer Nonono, John Martin, Goustad, BetterThanDetroit etc a page on WNYMedia to release their energy. That way we can hear them loud and clear uncensored. It would be a great service to WNY don’t you think?

  11.

    Christopher Smith Says:

We’d be open to it. However, I think they are more anti-BRO than pro-anything else. They are all free to comment here as they wish.

    al-alo Says:

i just came by to mention something completely off topic: why doent sorrento offer factory tours of their facility in S. B-lo?

    Buffalopundit Says:

STEEL is just insinuating that WNYMedia.net is a welcome home for people whom he considers to be racist neanderthals. As with most things with STEEL, it’s all insults, arrogance, and condescension from the sunny shores of Lake Michigan.

al-alo: what I want to know is, why doesn’t Ford Chewing Gum offer tours of its plant in Akron? I think Perry’s does tours there, but only for groups.

First I read the Comments, then went over to BRO.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph!!! And people wonder why I don’t just come back home and try and tough it out. Well if I was 30 I just might, but I’m over 50 now, and what I read at BRO sickened me.

Do we have to wait for the Elmwood Village Hippies to all die off before the parochialism disappears? Can’t you have pride in your own neighborhood/suburban town without it degenerating into a fuck-you fest?

Other than Alan’s calm and pointed explanations (which one expects of him), Mike Miller posted the only sensible comment I read.

Steel has the stones to say “So what if all the posts on BRO were about Elmwood Village?” Why even OPEN that fucking can?

I stopped looking at BRO a long time ago. I get the scoop on what’s happening by reading THIS blog, among some other WYN Media Blogs. Don’t comment on many as I don’t have the time, but BRO needs to think about moderating their posters. Saw TWNG posting there, he used to post here but not in a long time.

Sheesh. The poster so concerned about links she’s sending to Charlotte shouldn’t be–There’s enough trouble in Charlotte as it is—A gazillion illegales, MS-13, random gun violence, it’s all here too.

    Rob Says:

My favorite pair of comments: some commenter calls BP “Comic Book Store (?) Guy” (from The Simpsons, he helpfully explained) because BP quoted The Princess Bride (?????????) and some other commenter says, “Best post ever” (without periods).

Hank, that will earn you a one star rating.

I see the battle of irrelevants continues. . . wnymedia continues it’s jihad against buffalorising.com while the vast majority of wny says “wnywhat?” and “buffalorisingwho?”

buffalopundit - i’m surprised you don’t know that george johnson is no longer at buffalorising. i understand he’s moved back to SF and works for a company called blowtorch. maybe you can count that as a victory for yourself as you seem quite intent on harassing that entity and its people out of town.

Not that any of it matters to WNY and it’s long-term viability, but since you seem so focused on it, i thought i’d pass along what i’ve heard.

    Buffalopundit Says:

Hi, George. We’re all quite aware of blowtorch. kthxbai.
