SURE–BUFFALO COULD WIN!!
Bikers SPEND MONEY. They’re NOT SHY about it. I rode when I was in the Navy. (Sold my 48 Indian Roadmaster in 84 when the kids came–still got the tattoo though!).
Since my wife can’t take vacation this year during Canal Fest—A Motorcycle gathering–Southern Rock Concert? Biker chicks scantily dressed in August, Custom Bikes? COLOR MY ASS THERE!
PUBLICIZE–I can’t believe NF let this go. I know plenty of bikers down here who’ve NEVER been to Niagara Falls, and this event would bring them close enough to see it. Get it in the Bike Mags, Iron Horse, EasyRider, Etc. Hotel Rooms, Rest’s, BARS.
No, Buffalo isn’t Sturgis, but Buffalo isn’t as far away as Sturgis for the millions of bike owners on the East Coast and Dixie.
Shit–Get them up there, sell them rooms, beer, food—something like this with the right people planning and ginning the thing up could become a big event that could really put a shot in the arm during what would normally be an average weekend in WNY.
Also there could be booths there extolling the other features that the area has year round.
If NF isn’t interested in Tourists–Let’s use NF for the teaser to get them to visit the Falls–and stay and spend there money in Nickel City!!

I have to agree with Hank. This could be a good annual event to get some outside money into the economy. And if they publicize it, mention the Falls as a tourist draw for example. Then have information booths for other year round activities and we could get some of those bikers back at other times of the year. For example have pictures of the nice fall foliage and information about areas that are good for riding and viewing the leaves in fall. We have a lot of nice rural roads within a short drive of the city that would be good for people that just like to get out and ride/drive without having to worry about high traffic, but still without being too far out in the boonies or away from help if needed.
No it won’t be some miracle cure, and many of the attendees will likely be somewhat local, but I’m sure if they do it right word of mouth will bring more and more outsiders each year which means more money going to local restaurants and other stores. Even if the outside people only go to chains it’s still local people being employeed.

I remember the bike rally at lancaster speedway, 3 dead, guns thrown all about the I-90, yup sounds great. Hank lots of a**holes have money that doesnt mean we would like them here, great joke about canal fest tho, who would schedule their vacation around that toothless, white trash festival not you? Oh but wait I forgot the republicans sell clams there.
