We’ve got a guy who is now in very deep political trouble, a guy who stood to rail against a bill that he himself had sponsored, and a guy who’s got an ACD in a harassment case, is under FBI investigation, and may get his name bumped off the ballot in his own mayoral re-election campaign due to invalid petition signatures.

    Alan–Couldn’t have said it better if I’d spent the whole day trying to.
    Spitzer–the anointed Len Lenihan endorsed Democrat. Hope all the Democrats are pleased. Not exactly the Anti-Pataki now, is he?

    Antoine Thompson is showing the rest of the state the viability of public education NYS. Can’t Spell, Can’t Compose, and simple grammar? FORGET ABOUT IT!
    What’s important is what color you are, and who ya know apparently.

    The last person only gives Buffalonians solace—”Yeah, we’ve been screwed up for over 50 years, but WE AREN’T NIAGARA FALLS!”

    Why is Eliot Spitzer in trouble? Because his staff investigated whether Joe Bruno was wasting taxpayer money?

    I agree with Adam. Why shouldn’t the governor and his staff be able to make up FOIL requests, use the state police to track Sen. Bruno and have them create documents to assist in a future FOIL request, and then reply to the request with information that was not even asked for in the original request? What gives?

    Oh wait, that does sound like a problem.

    No, Not at ALL.

    EVERYTHING CHANGES ON DAY ONE.

    Well, It’s been well over 200 days. And the only thing that’s changed is instead of Pataki Bruno and Silver being the 3 Men in A Room (TM), Now it’s Spitzer, Bruno and Silver.

    So, THAT’S EVERYTHING? Sorry Adam, what’s Changed in NY since January is NOTHING. But If Sptizer runs for re-election, the Democrat Sheeple of NY will bust a gut to vote for him again.

    Hank, from your posts it is quite easy to divine you voted for Bush not once, but twice. Thus you have little room to lecture anyone on being a sheeple or any sort of topics dealing with competence or corruption.

    great photo & take alan…..the other ironic thing, of course, is that anello vehemently opposed the deal spitzer was in town to brag about. hank’s right, in the sense that spitzer’s hypocrisy is what makes his crime worse than that of the run of the mill albany crook. really, it’s been even more like a third world county here than usual. the niagara county board of elections’ “he’s on the ballot, he’s off the ballot, he’s on the ballot, oh, we’ll tell you about it tomorrow” routine was beyond belief.

    Bruno is a known crook who is under FBI investigation. Spitzer investigated his over use of State resources. He used the State Police to root out corruption.

    I guess he used hid law enforcement experience to use foil request.

    Ya know what…. It ain’t against the law!

    Joe Bruno - uses state helicopters to carry him to GOP fundraising events.

    Spitzer tries to stop him.

    Get over it, Spitzer, unlike Pataki is trying to root out corruption. He is just impatient about it!

    hey tim….not for nothing but this is america and joe bruno hasn’t been charged with anything, much less tried and convicted. if eliot wants to play junior g-man that’s fine, let him do it on his own time and with his own money. i’m a lifelong dem and voted for him, but spitzer’s use of tax dollars to try and gain political advantage over an opponent is exectly the kind of thing he vowed to put and end to.

    Spitzer is under fire for COVERTLY using the state police to spy on Bruno who, by the way, was found to have not broken any laws (though Albany rules are lax). it’s a clear attempt to literally turn NY into a police state.

    Elliot didn’t know anything? Unlikely. And he’s already acknowledged wrong-doing though he hasn’t been proven to be complicit… yet.
