SUVGate

Matt Spina discovers that there’s a second surveillance tape from the night of the accident with the Mayor’s SUV which shows the perpetrator a bit more clearly. In addition, one of the victims was given an opportunity to view some of the surveillance images. Although Mayor Brown said the perpetrator on the tape couldn’t be his son because the person on the tape has a different gait, victim Janelle Tryjankowski says the images are strobed rather than fluid, and gait cannot be determined.

The tape shows the teen running and then walking in the general direction of the mayor’s home and shows the teen wearing a distinctive jacket.

It shows the Equinox was driven past the mayor’s house after striking two parked vehicles.

And it shows other people were out on that cold Saturday morning — potential witnesses.

The distinctive jacket is pretty key.

“His mother said she didn’t recognize the jacket on the initial viewing,” Gipson said.

And the only reason this is still a story is because of the stonewalling from City Hall.

    Dick Kern Says:

It is perplexing that nobody has mentioned the cop who allegedly guards the mayor’s house.

I had long been angered that Maseillo had an all-night-cop parked in front of his Penhurst Park house, engine running from midnight until 6AM, as the city faced bankruptcy. Being an early riser, I often rode my bike past the copcar shortly before 6 AM, the cops greatest fear being that I would discover them sleeping.

On several occasions upon finding the officer asleep, I FAX’ed District D & the Mayor’s office, informing them,

“Officer down! Heart attack? Asphixated by carbon monoxide?”

They did not find it amusing for some reason.

Aren’t Brown’s neighbors now outraged that a major crime has been committed in their neighborhood, as their taxes are paying for an obvious & costly cover-up, now 6 weeks old?

The larger question, after this crime is solved, should be . . . how can the mayor’s security be protected more cost-effectively? As in the case of Masiello being right next to Buffalo State College & Albright Knox Gallery, Brown is next to Canisius College, but those resources are not accessed.

Why not contract with Canisius security to monitor the Mayor’s house . . to protect the Mayor’s family . . and to protect the neighbors from the Mayor’s family?

This is a “major crime” ?? There are shootings, robberies, drug deals etc occuring within blocks of the Mayor’s house … this is by no means a “major crime”.

illuzzi reports that he knew hours after it happened that the mayors son did it,,,,,this means byron, (our leader) knew,,,,which means he is a lieing scumbag!

the truth on day 1 would have made this a family matter,,,,,6 weeks of lieing scumbags makes it a political public matter since he is sworn to uphold the constitution.

And I’m sure that if Jimmy Hoffa’s body is ever found, Joe I. will announce that he knew the whereabouts all along.

If you buy that, and buy that Illuzzi is a “professional” journalist, then isn’t he indirectly complicit in the cover-up? Vacuous diatribe, I tell you!

    Sheesh.
