Roy Mann, who penned the op piece shown immediately below this post, isn’t an architect with an expertise in historical preservation or heritage tourism, which might partly explain why he improperly used Boston’s Faneuil Hall Marketplace as an example of what Buffalo should be doing with the Erie Canal Terminus. Instead,
Roy B. Mann is a landscape architect with 35 years experience in parkland, river corridor, open space and trail planning and design. Trail work includes the 1986 Town Lake Parklands Improvements Plan, for Austin, Texas, the 1995 Santa Fe County, NM, Open Space and Trails Plan, 1984 Boston Southwest Corridor Linear Park Master Plan, and the 2004 Cypress Creek Nature Trail, Preserve, and Park Plan, for Wimberley, Texas. Mann earned his masters in landscape architecture at Harvard University, used a Fulbright in Europe to write his 1973 book, Rivers in the City, and received the ASLA’s 1999 President’s Award of Excellence. His firm, The Rivers Studio, LLC, is located in Austin.
One might even suggest that he’s weighing in now, with the loss of sainted, recent “green space”, because it could mean he gets a bit more work out of what Esmonde so quaintly called the “rubes”. Benderson probably won’t be building any river trails, and probably has its own landscape architects on hand.

You notice their all “PLANS”. I wonder how many of his “PLANS” were ever implement in whole or in part as he designed them. Your absolutely right , just another Blood Sucking salivating goober who’s trying to get a piece of the action.

Kinda like how after Waste Management lost the bid to be the sole garbage company for the Town of Hamburg, they sent out a letter to all their customers telling them what a bad idea it would be to vote for a single provider.
